Helpful Hints "How to Measure" Bust Measurement: Lift your arms to the side and measure around your back crossing over the fullest part of your bust. Waist Measurement: Measure around your waistline, keep your finger between your body and the measuring tape for the most accurate measurement. Hip Measurement: Stand with your heels together, and measure the fullest part of your hips. Check the size chart for each manufacturer and use their measurements when placing your order. Measure Carefully: Your dress should be sized according to your largest measurement, therefore alterations may be required to adjust for that custom fit, as gowns normally fit smaller than regular clothes. At least one size smaller, therefore it is important to measure carefully and use each vendors size chart and match your measurements accordingly. All gowns can be hemmed (even beaded ones). Note: Your seamtress can always take in a gown that may be a little large, yet is very difficult to let out the gown if you order it too small!
